Coilovers
After looking at the KW v2 coilovers at £1400 for a few months, I decided that all I really needed was to replace the AVO racing coilovers with some newer and softer ones to complement the ride height modifications I had planned.
The plan was pushed forward when I hit a raised manhole, which pulled the car around and bent the shock and the wishbone.
I got some ap-sport suspensions coilovers as I rode in a Golf Mk1 fitted with a set, and the suspension was firm, sporty and not too harsh.
The kit comes with some helper springs and good instructions. It was easy to fit and felt really nice with the ride height modifications I had made.
Keeping the platform threads on the coilovers clean had always been an issue as, over time, they pick up dirt and seize in place, even then greased.
