Heater Matrix Replacement
The soft top failed to start a few times, and the alarm wouldn't unarm. After investigation, I found the coolant had been shorting out the alarm unit. The coolant leak was tracked back to the heater matrix.
The old heater matrix was pretty beat up and was leaking from the end cap.
I found an old parking permit in the air vent for its old address and its old private reg
A replacement unit was easy to source from GFS Parts.
As the soft top is only used in summer and the coolant valve is never tuned to the heat, I actually have no clue how long the matrix has been leaking.
